Brendan Allen vs Sean Strickland as it happened-

1st Round

Both fighters started off throwing a jab at one another. How many suggested it would be ana aggressive fight, it indeed was. In the initial stages of the first round itself Allen looked to deliver low kicks whereas Strickland went for a takedown first. He has Allen on the fence early on, stomping kicks onto his stomach. Allen took some time to set himself back to his momentum after the first couple of minutes. Strickland had 20 more head shots than Allen whereas Allen was looking to come back in the fight minute after minute. But Strickland delivered some devastating jabs onto the face of Allen in the first round.

2nd Round

The second round began and Strickland began with the same strategy of attacking Allen in the face. It was clear than Allen wanted his strike to connect more even if it taken him take a beating from his opponent. But a strong jab from Strickland saw Allen lose all his control. As Allen went down in, Strickland came ragging at him to deliver multiple face blows as the referee stepped in to call out the fight in favour of Strickland.

With this victory Strickland has now registered his 2nd win in just over 2 weeks and also 3rd straight win on the bounce. He surely looks like a huge prospect in the catchweight division.
