The main event of UFC Vegas 15 features the UFC Light Heavyweight fighter Anthony Smith (8-6) entering the Octagon against Devin Clark (6-4). Both of them trained for a three-round event but after the original main event between Blaydes and Lewis got canceled, they stepped in this five-round main event.

Round 1: Clark starts the round with a high kick and lands a sharp right hand followed by it. Smith doesn’t like that early blows and transits into a clinch. ‘Lionheart’ gets a takedown, Smith drags Clark near the fence and he is working for a twister. Clark looks in danger.

Clark strikes him with heels and postures up. Smith is working for a triangle from the bottom Clark looks in danger and here it is Clark taps the Anthony Smith wins this one in the very first round.

Anthony Smith was facing a lot of issues before this fight as he was coming from two consecutive losses against Aleksandar Rakic and Glover Teixeira. Many people were pointing fingers against ‘Lionheart’ that he passed his prime and his UFC carrier is over.

But with this impressive first-round victory against Clark, he showed that he isn’t going anywhere. Smith has shown his excellence in the ground game once before by winning the fight against Alexander Gustafsson and now Clark became the victim of his high-quality ground game.
