In the Featherweight contest of UFC Vegas 16’s main card, Gabriel Benitez (5-4 UFC) took on Justin Jaynes (1-1 UFC). Both of them are coming from a loss into this fight Benitez lost to Omar Morales and Jaynes lost to Gavin Tucker. With a win in this match, both of them look to get back in the winning column.

Round 1: Benitez started the fight with a sharp kick to the body, followed by his trademark inside leg kicks. Jaynes tried to connect a right hand but misses, he swings hard but couldn’t find the mark for his punch. Benitez struck some big low kicks again.

Jaynes’s leg showed some bit of swelling and Benitez struck with a left-hand uppercut. Jaynes isn’t getting any time for breather Benitez struck some nice beautiful leg kicks. Jaynes swung to the fences but he missed his mark again. Everything went wrong for Jaynes today.

As the first round reached towards the end, Benitez hit one more nice uppercut and this time Jaynes hits one counterpunch of his own. Benitez hits one more massive low kick, Jaynes’s legs were hurting really bad. Benitez lands a clean knee to the body and Jaynes lands on the mat.

Benitez capitalized this and jumps off and landed some punches on Jaynes’s face and the referee jumped in and stops the fight. Gabriel Benitez gets his first TKO win in UFC.
