UFC Vegas 16: Jamahal Hill stays undefeated with a TKO win against Ovince Saint Preux
UFC Vegas 16’s co-main event featured the UFC veteran Ovince Saint Preux once again stepping inside the Octagon against the undefeated Light Heavyweight fighter Jamahal Hall. Saint Preux holds a record of (13-10) in UFC and Jamahal Hill holds a record of (9-0) in MMA.
Saint Preux was the underdog in this fight and Hall was people’s favorite and he performed the same as expected. In the first round, Jamahal Hall landed some nice left hands and Saint Preux tried to distance himself from his range but Hall was too hard for Saint Preux to handle.
Saint Preux didn’t panic in the first round and took some of the beatings from Hall in the last minute of the first round Saint Preux caught Hall and drove him into the fence this is where Saint Preux is the strongest, he tried to take Jamahal Hall further down into ground game but luckily he survived.
Although Hall won the first round but Saint Preux showed some promising game towards the end.
Jamahal Hill unleashed the fury of punches
In the second round, Saint Preux tried to score some early shots but Hill was looking for a finish in this round. Saint Preux looked calm as always but suddenly Hill charged on him and found a home for some heavy punches. Saint Preux tried to cover up but Hill knows this the opportunity.
Saint Preux tried his best to cover those shots but Jamahal Hill relentlessly keep punching him and the referee stepped in and stopped the fight. With this win, Jamahal Hill continued his undefeated streak in MMA. This win was certainly special for him because in his last fight he was found positive for Marijuana.
Jamahal Hill won the fight originally against Klidson Abreu but after being tested for using Marijuana, the result of his last fight was turned into no contest. With a win against Saint Preux, Hill made a statement in the Light Heavyweight division and stayed undefeated.
