UFC Vegas 16 (Main Event): Marvin Vettori def Jack Hermansson via UD

The main event of UFC Vegas 16 featured the number 4 Middleweight fighter Jack ‘The Joker’ Hermansson entering the Octagon against ‘The Italian Dream’ Marvin Vettori. This was the first main event for Vettori and Hermansson, where both were looking to add one more W in their UFC record.
Round 1: Hermansson started the round with a quick low kick, Vettori also replies to him with a left hand of his own. Hermansson tried to stay away from the range of Vettori but he connected some nice shots. Hermansson landed a nice knee and Vettori answered it with a hard left hand.
Vettori struck a straight left hand and Hermansson is down, Vettori is pressing high connecting some hammer fists. Herb Dean watched closely as Vettori tries for the guillotine but ‘The Joker’ escapes. Vettori is landing few punches and the bell rings Hermansson barely survived this one.
Round 2: Hermansson tried to recover from the first round and swung a huge right hand but misses, Vettori smiles. Joker tried to land some more strikes and attempted a single leg takedown. Vettori defends and Hermansson tries to switch stances but Vettori came to the top.
Hermansson is on the guard, Vettori tries to get the arm but misses both of them get up and with the round advancing towards the end, Hermansson once again shoots for a takedown but again failed. The round ends Vettori seemed to win this one too.
Round 3: Hermansson rushed the pace in this round, Vettori avoided some early strikes nicely. Vettori again strikes with a big left hand. Hermansson was finding the range for the right hand and he connects, Vettori looked tired and took some deep breaths. Joker caught him off balance and struck some nice punches.
Hermansson fakes a takedown and Vettori struck some nice strikes. The round ends and this one looks even for both the fighters.
Hermansson continued the dominance
Round 4: Hermansson looked a little panicked and in this round, he threw combinations rather than straight punches. Vettori swings back and scored some more points in his favor. Vettori tried to get some energy back, Hermansson threw everything he has left inside him.
Hermansson still pushed forward and score little shots. Both of them threw a large number of significant strikes. This slugfest ended with this round and we advanced towards the final round.
Round 5: Hermansson knew that he needs to score a knockout to win this fight but Vettori struck some nice hands in this round, Hermansson tried to press some combinations but Vettori still stands. Both of them threw large strikes on each other but no one is falling down.
The round ended with both of them broking the record for most significant strikes in any fight in the middleweight division.
