In the welterweight contest of UFC Vegas 17, Michel Pereira (2-2 UFC) took on Khaos Williams (2-0). Khaos was looking to continue his undefeated record since he came in UFC. Pereira was certainly looking forward to add one more W in his column.

Round 1: The round started and Williams connected with an early low kick, Pereira played in his unorthodox style switched in and out of range. Pereira threw a right overhand and front kick to the chest. Williams looked more patient, Pereira threw a high kick and blocked by Williams.

Pereira threw one more this one catches, Williams landed two powerful punches. Pereira continued to trade in lead kicks and the round ends.

Round 2: Williams started the round and landed strikes on the chest of Pereira, he stayed on his feet and look to be away from William’s range. Pereira struck a big right hand, Williams countered it by clinching him. Nothing happened in the clinch and they separated.

Williams stuck some low kicks again, Pereira kicks to the body. Pereira took the fight to the ground and landed few solid punches, he tried for the rear-naked choke but the horn sounds.

Round 3: Pereira started the round with some high volume punches, Williams continued his kicks to the leg. Pereira tried to land some of his acrobatic attacks but missed most of them. Pereira’s gas tank looked exhausted but he held it up.

With last two minutes left to end the round, Pereira dragged Williams to the canvas but he can’t keep him there. A kick landed for Pereira followed by another takedown and the round ended. This can go either way.

Result: Michel Pereira def Khaos Williams via unanimous decision (29-28,29-28,29-28)
