In a heavyweight scrap between Andrei Arlovski (30-20 MMA, 19-14 UFC) and Chase Sherman (15-6 MMA, 3-5 UFC) at UFC Vegas 24, Andrei Arlovski secured the victory in a three-round contest.

Round 1: Sherman starts the fight with a stiff jab and pushes the pace but Arlovski is landing some clean counter punches, that jab is really working for Sherman but Arlovski is also getting his shots in the exchanges, Sherman attacks the leg and wobble Arlovski just as the round was ending.

Round 2: Sherman starts damaging the lead leg and is pushing the pace in this round, Arlovski is looking to counter but he is not landing anything clean and Sherman is getting better of every exchange, he lands a nice leg kick and Arlovski tries to take him down but could not complete it.

Round 3: Arlovski and Sherman both look tired but Sherman is sure the aggressor in this one as well, as Arlovski tries to land some combinations and is finding some success, Chase tries to walk him down but gets caught with some clean punches. Arlovski finishes the fight strong.

Result: Andrei Arlovski def. Chase Sherman via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
