Andre Fili vs Daniel Pineda is the third fight of the UFC Vegas 30 main card. This is an exciting featherweight bout. Andre Fili comes into UFC Vegas 30 from a loss against Bryce Mitchell. He has a great professional record of 21-8-0 in his career. The fighter is 9-7 under the UFC banner with defeats against big guns like Max Holloway, Calvin Kattar, and Michael Johnson.
On the other hand, Daniel Pineda is coming off a loss too against Cub Swanson at UFC 256. It was a devastating knockout loss in the second round. Pineda will be desperate to get a win at UFC Vegas 30. This fight has the potential to be a “fight of the night”. Both the fighters are scary strikers and will look for the finish.
Round 1: Fili moved his shoulders really well as the fight starts. Pineda wastes no time and scored with a right hand. Both the fighters trade punches and it looked like a bloodbath was waiting. Fili with a counter left that shook Pineda but later he responds with a low kick. Both the fighters in the center. Pineda with a clinch. Fili defended his best against the fence. Fili with a high kick that hurts Pineda. Two punches scored. Pineda has a cut over the left eye. A brutal kick to the body by Fili. The round ends.

Round 2: Pineda though hurt, comes out very active. Fili looked great from the previous round’s momentum. A left hand landed by Fili to the body of Pineda as he kicked the body. Daniel looking for a takedown but does not get it. Pineda does not look comfortable facing Fili’s striking. Few steps taken back by Fili to create some space.
Andre Fili looks to throw a punch and accidentally pokes the eye of Pineda. Daniel was already hurt and this does not look good. Referee Herb Dean stopped the fight as the doctor was called. The Doc check Pineda and claims him unfit. Despite Daniel’s several efforts to convince the doctor, he is not able to pass the eye test. A long evaluation and the fight is waved off.
