“Y’all can burn in hell,” Kevin Lee releases statement after his fight at UFC Vegas 35; Motown Phenom has no time for haters
Kevin Lee at UFC Vegas 35
UFC’s “Motown Phenom” Kevin Lee is going through some tough time inside the octagon. He is coming off a loss at UFC Vegas 35.
Kevin Lee was matched up against Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 35. The Motown Phenom was coming off a long layoff due to his injuries. He finally returned after one year and faced defeat against Rodriguez, who took the fight on short notice. The fighter is now on a two-fight losing streak. Rodriguez won the fight via unanimous decision after three rounds of fighting. Lee took to Instagram to reflect on his loss.
“Didn’t have a good performance this last time out but honestly after 500 days away and multiple surgeries I’m proud of what I was able to do. I tried climbing a very tall mountain and this was just another speed bump on the way. My best performances are ahead of me and I know that. I don’t care if I have to bump my head to get there I won’t stop until I figure this shit out,” wrote Kevin on his Instagram.
“I’m still competing with the best in the world and won’t hang my head just yet. If you have something negative to say fuck you from bottom of my heart. Fuck all the hate yell can burn in hell. And thank you to everyone who has reached out with love. I’m not done yet. Not at all.”
Dana White is unsure about Kevin Lee’s future
Lee has lost four out of his last five outings. This also involves a year-long layoff. He has also gone through some serious injuries that lead to surgeries on his knee. This must be a really tough time to be in as a fighter. Kevin for his recent fight this past weekend took on the challenge of moving up a weight class. He was used to fighting in the lightweight division.
When Dana White was asked about Kevin’s future in the UFC, there seems to be uncertainty. “That’s a good question,” White said. “Again, that’s a thing that we will get together on Tuesday and talk about and figure out what’s next for him, here, or not here.”
