UFC veteran Derek Brunson is not afraid to reveal his plans against Darren Till at the main event fight at UFC Vegas 36.

Derek Brunson is currently the No.7 middleweight and is looking to make it to the top of the mountain after this fight. Derek sees this fight as a no.1 contender fight. He meets Darren Till in the main event of UFC Vegas 36. The fight takes place on September 4 in the UFC Apex, Las Vegas. Brunson received a lot of criticism for sticking to takedowns a lot and not engaging in striking in his previous bouts. The fighter has come out and said he will not hesitate to take the route again.

“I know he’s going to be worried about [takedowns]. If he’s not, he better be,” Brunson told MMA Fighting. “That’s definitely going to open up some things. That’s the thing about being a complete martial artist and continuing to work on your skillset, you can be a threat in all different areas. That’s the part of the gameplan, making sure we’re a threat everywhere. Just making it count.”

Darren is coming off a decision loss against Robert Whittaker at UFC Fight Night 174. The fighter from Liverpool is determined to fight his heart out in the upcoming fight. Derek is not afraid of the threat he brings to the table. Derek is on a four-fight win streak and has lost since 2018. He has a record of 22-7-0 in his professional career.

“I know what I’ve got to do to get it done,” Brunson continued. “The funny thing about it is I’m not as crazy as an underdog as I was in my last three or four fights so that’s funny to me. I know what I’ve got to get done. I know what’s in front of me. I know where Darren’s good. He’s a game opponent. Pretty much go back to that wrestling thing — I’ve got to break him. That’s just it.”
