The Middleweight contest of UFC Vegas 38’s fight card features the fight between the number 13th ranked UFC Light Heavyweight fighter, Misha Cirkunov making his Middleweight debut against Krzysztof Jotko. Cirkunov will be stepping into this fight with a loss against Ryan Spann in his last fight at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Muhammad.

Jotko will be also stepping into this fight at UFC Vegas 38 with a loss against Sean Strickland in his last fight at UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs Prochazka.

Round 1: Cirkunov and Jotko ties hand with each other in the early stage of the fight and Cirkunov holds Jotko against the fence. Jotko lands a kick to the leg, Cirkunov shoots for a takedown. Jotko defends well but Cirkunov again holds him against the cage. Jotko lands a combination while Cirkunov moved in a rhythmic movement.

Jotko lands a kick to the head and Cirkunov faints and lands a head kick. He eats it and ties Jotko against the fence until the round ends.

Round 2: Cirkunov again ties Jotko against the fence as soon as the round starts and after an intervention from Herb Dean, Jotko lands a nice combination followed by a leg kick. Cirkunov not doing much and he holds Jotko once again with the fence. Jotko lands a punch and leg kick lands from Cirkunov. Jotko tries to land a flying knee but eats a jab and the round ends.

Round 3: Cirkunov shoots for a single leg and he finally secures it. Jotko gets up and the slow-paced action continuous, Cikunov tries to drag him against the ground once again and Jotko lands him a right hand. Jotko lands a wild punch and Cirkunov secures a takedown, Cirkunov accuses Jotko of eye poke and the fight continues after a little drama and they ended the fight in the same fashion as started.

Result: Krzysztof Jotko def Misha Cirkunov via Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29)
