The co-main event of UFC Vegas 47 is here with a spectacular middleweight bout of Punahele Soriano vs Nick Maximov.
UFC Vegas 47 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by a spectacular middleweight fight between Sean Strickland and Jack Hermansson. In the co-main event, two vicious fighters take on each other in a middleweight bout.
Both the fighters are looking to put on a show in the co-main event and get the finish bonus. Punahele is coming off a decision loss against Brendan Allen in July of 2021 and is looking to bounce back with a win. He is known for his deadly knockouts. Meanwhile, Nick Maximov is undefeated in his career and has is coming off a win against Cody Brundage at UFC 266. Let’s see how this fight at UFC Vegas 47 played out.

Nick Maximov gets the split decision at UFC Vegas 47
Round 1: Maximov connects the right hand and goes for the single-leg takedown. Soriano manages to keep away but only for a little time as both the fighters get into a scramble. Punahele manages to get back to the feet. Soriano gets a huge right hand as Nick gets cut. Maximov gets the back of Soriano and looks for a neck crank. Soriano with ground and pound as the bell goes.
Round 2: Solid right hand from Nick. Punahele and Maximov get into a scramble but back to their feet. Maximov with a huge cut open as he continues bleeding. Great shot by Soriano and follows by huge body shots. Maximov and Soriano with not much action as Nick takes the back of Soriano. Fight goes to the final round.
Round 3: Another takedown from Soriano. Punahele’s exhausted and looks to break off from Maximov’s clinch but only gets taken down again. No big shots landed from both the fighters. Soriano with some great body shots at the end of the fight.
Results Nick Maximov def. Punahele Soriano via split decision.
