Terence McKinney won his fight at UFC Vegas 49 against Ziam in the first round of the fight. From the start of the fight, McKinney showed Elite grappling skills to take down  Ziam and ultimately submit him with a deadly rear-naked choke.

It took only seven seconds for him to secure his first UFC win when he defeated Matt Frevola back at UFC 263. However, the fight against Ziam lasted a little longer. But, one thing remained constant, i.e him dominating his opponent inside the octagon.

With this win, he has registered his second UFC win, and interestingly all of his wins have come via finishes. The fighter currently has a pro-MMA record of 12-3.

He gives the credit of his success to the risk he takes. “My willingness to take risks and it’s god on my side,” he said in the post-fight interview.

On the other hand, Ziam faced his fourth MMA loss after his two-fight win streak. He previously defeated Luigi Vendramini and Jamie Mullarkey at UFC 263 and UFC fight night: Ortega vs Korean Zombie respectively. This loss is certainly a setback for him. He now needs to evaluate his position inside the promotion and plan for a better comeback in his next fight.

After his illustrious win inside the cage, the current lightweight UFC champion, Charles Oliveira could not hold himself back from congratulating him.

Oliveira took Twitter to congratulate T.Wrecks. He wrote as follows: “Congrats T.Wrecks”. To which American-African replied saying:  “I appreciate you champ. You set the example inside and outside the cage that inspires me”

Certainly, Charles Oliveria is the best guy to take inspiration from. Fighting through adversities the Brazilian has seen it all before becoming the champion he is today. In addition to that, Terence showed a classic rear-naked choke which again is a deadly move often used by Oliveira himself. Fighters from the same division appreciating each other is definitely a class move.
