UFC featherweight Movsar Evloev stays undefeated and breaks into the top 10 with the biggest win of his career when he outclasses the very tough Dan Ige at UFC Vegas 56. Movlaev looked like he had no problem at all in any aspect of fighting as Ige tried hard to figure out. Moreover, Evloev’s strength spoke volumes during the grappling exchanges in which he was able to execute more than 50% takedowns that he attempted. Round 1: Low kick by Evloev. A speedy one-two by Ige. Jab by Evloev, with return from Ige. Body shots attempt from Ige. One two by Evloev. A low kick from Ige but Evloev breaks the rhythm with a jab. Dan Ige had no answer to Movsar Evloev’s scrambling techniques
Round 2: Both the fighters take the centre. Ige trying to be more voluminous and active. Evloev initiates some combos of his own. Both the fighters trying to have an advantage in angle changing while striking. Another flying knee but not as powerful as the one in the previous round by Evloev. Both Evloev and Ige are light on their feet. Heavy leg kick by Ige. One two by Evloev.
Teep kick by Evloev. Ige goes for good left and right. A good One two by Ige. Body kick by Ige. Evloev swiftly secures the fourth takedown on his eighth attempt. Evloev going for body shots and seeking ground and pound. An elbow seems to have cut Ige. Round ends. Evloev covers up well in the end and gets 10-9.
Round 3: Evloev with another takedown. Now has body lock over Ige. Transition to cage side wrestling. Ige back on my feet and there’s no body lock but still back control by Evloev. Evloev is schooling Ige with his exceptional scrambling ability. Ige gets up but gets backed down on the ground by Evloev with pressure and strength.
Evloev has now caught Ige with his body on Ige’s head from where he is landing little but effective hammer punches on the head. Now the fight has transitioned to back control by Evloev followed by Ige standing back up and getting taken down again. Some more ground and pound shots by Evloev as the fight reaches the end.
