Mateusz Gamrot gets important win at UFC Vegas 57
The main event of UFC Vegas 57 is here. Two lightweight talents Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamrot take on each other in a five-round bout to climb up the rankings.
UFC Vegas 57 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Fight Night is headlined by the amazing lightweight matchup between Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamrot. Both the fighters want to enter the top ten rankings of the lightweight division. Arman is looking to extend his winning streak as he sits on a 5-fight streak.
Mateusz on the other hand is coming off a three-fight winning streak. The fighter has only one defeat in his professional career and is coming off three finishes in his last three fights. Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamrot fight incredibly close fight
Round 1 The two lightweights take the center and get into a scramble immediately. This is high-level grappling and the two fighters are back to the feet again. Both the fighters still looking to find their range and Tsarukyan manages to get a takedown. Another insane scramble and Gamrot manages to get the back of Arman. Body kick from Arman and Gamrot responds with a right hand. An amazing round comes to an end.
Round 2 Arman lands a left hand and Gamrot looks to grab the legs of his opponent. Huge body kick from the Armenian that lands clean. Tsarukyan finding it tough to land clean strikes on his opponent. Both the lightweights are back in a scramble as they look to take out the arm of each other. Clean body kick from Arman that gets the crowd cheering his name.
Round 3 Good right hand from Gamrot. The two fighters showcasing high-level fighting in the main event here. Mateusz tries to grab the single-leg takedown but Arman manages to get off. Gamrot lands a neat left hand and goes for the takedown but Arman once again manages to defend. Mateusz manages to get the back of Arman but the Armenian manages to get off his back and throw a right hand. Spinning back kick from Arman that lands on his opponent’s chest.
Round 4 Amazing exchange from Arman and Gamrot. Gamrot with another left hand and that lands clean on Arman’s head. Arman throws a body kick and a spinning back fist that drops Gamrot to the ground. Arman grabs his opponent and Gamrot manages to reset to the center. Another nice right hand that lands for Arman. Gamrot gets another takedown. Mateusz takes the back of Arman and looks for a submission.
Round 5 Gamrot swings and Arman moves away. A huge low kick from Tsarukyan drops his opponent. Great exchange from both the fighters and Gamrot lands a clean takedown. Arman is back on his feet and gets Gamrot off him. Another body kick for Arman. Right cross from Gamrot and looks for a takedown. Arman defends it and throws a kick as soon as he gets back on the feet. Another body kick with a right cross for Tsarukyan. Gamrot with a takedown in the final seconds of the fight but Arman looking to get him off the back. WHAT A FIGHT!
