Chase Sherman and Jared Vanderaa go to war at UFC Vegas 58
UFC Vegas 58 hosts an amazing heavyweight battle on the main card between Jared Vanderaa and Chase Sherman. The two fighters who are looking to get back in the win column will have to battle it out for three rounds for an important win.
UFC returns to the UFC Apex for their Fight Night event. UFC Vegas 58 is headlined by the stunning lightweight bout between Rafael Fiziev and Rafael Dos Anjos. In the undercard, we have an amazing middleweight matchup between two exciting fighters. Chase Sherman takes on Jared Vanderaa in a three-round fight on the main card tonight. Vanderaa has taken this fight on short notice and it will be interesting to see how he manages to tackle this challenge.
Both the fighters are in desperate need of a win given their previous record. Chase is coming off a four-fight losing streak and has a very important task at hand in the main card today. Jared, on the other hand, is also coming off a three-fight losing streak and is desperate for a win. Jared has a record of 12-8-0 while Chase holds a record of 15-10-0. Chase Sherman and Jared Vanderaa go all out
Round 1: The two fighters take the center of the octagon. Sherman begins to attack the body of his opponent with a strong jab. Sherman finds the timing of the right hook to land a clean strike. Vanderaa a step slower than his opponent. Head movement from Sherman to dodge the jabs of Vanderaa. Great right hand from Chase. Sherman putting his speed to full advantage. Vanderaa finally gets a nice combo. Big shot from Sherman.
Round 2: Vanderaa manages to land a decent strike. Chase showing a lot more finesse in his fights. Great combo from Sherman. Sherman caused some damage to Vanderaa. But Jared continues to believe he can take the shots of Chase. Both the fighters finding a lot more strikes in the second round. Jared eating some heavy shots from Chase. The round ends with some great action.
Round 3: Vanderaa still going forward and willing to take the risk. Jared still finding some heavy strikes. Great right hand from Vanderaa and Sherman seemed to have slowed down a notch. Chase with an amazing 1-2 combo. Both the fighters swinging now. Great chin from Vandera and Sherman for taking all these strikes. Sherman goes to town with the strikes and Vanderaa finally goes down and a huge win for “Vanilla Gorilla”. Amazing fight.
