Only two more days left for one of the most anticipated rematches in the bantamweight division. Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling take on each other in a title unifier bout in the co-main event of UFC 273. Backstage, the bantamweight rivals ran into each other and were prepared to throw hands. Sterling was also accompanied by his teammate, Merab Dvalishvili. Both the fighters have been taunting the Russian champ and are doing their very best to get under his skin. Yan and Sterling had a very interesting altercation backstage as the two hurled fits of abuse toward each other.

Sterling also posted a video of the altercation on his Instagram page. Sterling was calling Yan a “woman” in Russian as Merab called out Petr to a fight backstage. Yan however was not fazed by the trash-talking as he calmly waved toward Sterling and vowed to meet him in the octagon. Watch the video below:

Yan and Sterling first met each other in the octagon at UFC 259 as the Russian tried defending his belt. Sterling became the first champion in the UFC to win the belt via DQ as the Russian fighter threw an illegal knee while Sterling was down to lose his belt. This rematch has been in the making for a year and the two finally get to settle their dispute.

Both Yan and Sterling in the meantime have not taken it easy against each other and have thrown insults on social media constantly. Most recently, Yan took a dig at Sterling “acting” in their first fight and showed off his custom chain. The chain has Sterling on the ground in pain from their first meeting.

Since the fight at UFC 259, Yan took on top contender Cory Sandhagen and won the interim bantamweight belt at UFC 267. Who do you think wins the fight between the two fighters this weekend?
