Derrick Lewis fight week means guaranteed entertainment. Be it the lead-up to the fight or “swanging and banging” inside the octagon, Lewis has never failed to entertain the fans. There is a reason why “The Black Beast” is one of the most fan-favorite fighters on the roster and he clearly showed a glimpse of that during the ceremonial face-offs earlier.

Derrick Lewis is fighting Russian heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 277. This is one of the much-anticipated fights for the fans. Lewis has been full-on hilarious in the lead-up to this fight despite coming off a loss. The fighter had one of the funniest moments at the UFC 277 pre-fight press conference with other fighters on the fight card.

Derrick during his face-offs with Sergei decided to pull a prank on the boss, Dana White. If there’s one thing that White fears the most, it is for a fight to break out during an intense face-off between the fighters. Dana has struggled in the past to break up a scuffle between his fighters and Lewis is always someone who likes to get into the face of his opponent. Though Lewis holds no grudge against Sergei, Lewis wanted to punk both Dana and his rival for this weekend.

Derrick and Sergei were looking right into each other’s eyes intensely and all Derrick did was a pump fake like he was going to attack the Russian fighter. Though Sergei showed little to no reaction after Derrick’s fake, Dana sure got all red which was hilarious to watch.

Derrick has fought for the title twice in his career and is still going strong. He holds the record for most knockouts in the history of the promotion. Derrick has always been a company man. The fighter never shies away from any opponent and also revealed that he had no idea who Sergei Pavlovich is leading up to this fight.

Derrick is 2-2 in his last four fights and all of them have ended in finishes. The fighter is coming off a heavy loss against Tai Tuivasa at UFC 271 and believes he is in the right mindset to come back from that brutal knockout defeat.
