“We love you”- Jon Jones came in support of The Korean Zombie after he gets ragdoll by Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 273
Chan Sung Jung- Jon Jones
It’s very safe to say that UFC Featherweight Chan Sung Jung aka The Korean Zombie’s legacy is not affected at all after his last fight as the legend and fan-favourite fighter he is, many are now coming out to support Jung and light-heavyweight great Jon Jones is one of them. Jung was stopped by the referee early in round 4 of his second title fight against the reigning defending UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 273 in VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, in Jacksonville, Florida, the USA.
Chan Sung Jung has been fighting amongst the elites for a very long time, going as far as the WEC days. The Korean Zombie is 17-7 in his overall MMA career and has fought the likes of champions like Volkanovski and former champions like Jose Aldo, also respected names like Brian Ortega, Yair Rodriguez, and many more. Sung Jung has significant victories over the likes of Leonard Garcia, Dustin Poirier, Denis Bermudez, Frankie Edgar, Renato Carneiro, Dan Ige and many more.
Jon Jones pours for teammate The Korean Zombie some love despite tough results at UFC 273
During the training camp, Sung Jung approached combat sports legend Henry Cejudo for improvements and adjustments to fight Volkanovski. Therefore, it must not be surprising if Sun Jung has crossed paths with Jon Jones in any way since Jones trains with Cejudo as well. So after the results, Jones made to Twitter to write “We love you zombie” encouraging The Korean Zombie to keep his head up even when the results are not in favour.
What did you make of this respectful gesture by Jones towards Sung Jung? What did you make of the main event of UFC 273? Just how far can Volkanovski go in terms of building his legacy, do you think he surpasses featherweight great Jose Aldo in terms of title defences? Who do you think should Volkanovski fight next and more importantly, what do you think is Chan Sung Jung?
