The potential fight between Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev might crop up as the fighters’ recent Twitter feud has made it even more entertaining.
Since Khamzat Chimaev’s last victory against Li Jingliang, he has been waiting for literally anyone to fight him in the division. However, Gilbert’s name came into the context when Chimaev revealed his intentions to fight him in his YouTube channel in order to get closer to the title shot.
Responding to this, Burns tweeted Tagging Dana White ” Make it all happen am all in. 5 rounds in brazil”
Soon after, UFC Brazil posted a picture of the two fighters and wrote “who would like to see this fuel up close” in Twitter.
However, recently Chimaev seemed Making his moves regarding the potential match-up as he tweeted about Burns. He gave a menacing warning to Gilbert Burns as he wrote “Be ready to die boy @GilbertDurinho,”

While many would have feared to reply to such a warning by Chimaev, considering his aggressive and one-sided wins inside the octagon. Burns didn’t take time to respond.
He posted a picture of his on Twitter with the caption ” we will see @KChimaev”
Certainly, “Durinho” is ready for the challenge. But, the question is: how intelligent is it to take a fight against someone who is currently 11th in the ranking? While Chimaev has everything to gain from this fight, Burns has not many a thing to gain.
Burns is coming off a win against Wonderboy Thompson and is currently ranked 3rd in the welterweight division. He can easily take on someone from the top 5. However, it will be unfair to question him on the same since he is showing the character of a true fighter who takes on anyone who calls him out.
For fight fans, If Burns vs Khamzat happens, it will be a treat to their eyes. So, they should hope to see them soon inside the octagon.
