Israel Adesanya is training hard ahead of his huge fight against Robert Whittaker at the main event of UFC 271 and The Last Stylebender has some amazing teammates to keep him in check during training.
The very recent episode of UFC 271 Embedded: Vlog Series, shows Adesanya training with his team at the Main Street Boxing & Muay Thai gym in Houston, Texas. Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker will take the center stage at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, this weekend to fight their much-anticipated title rematch.
The vlog covers the training of Adesanya on 2-02-2022. Adesanya trains with his teammates from City Kickboxing in New Zealand. In this Vlog, he has training partners, Carlos Ulberg, a UFC light heavyweight, and Blood Diamond, another fighter who is signed to the UFC. Adesanya is trained by wrestling coach Andrei Paulet.

“The training camp is fun. It was good synergy between us three and the coaches,” said Adesanya in the Embedded Episode 2. “There are moments in this camp where I was like, *thumps chest* Warrior sh*t.” Adesanya then went on to talk bout the teammates he was training with and explained what each one of them puts on the table during training.
“Blood Diamond, he is unconventional. Given these things he was doing yesterday, I was like, I have never seen that before. Stay tuned. It is the first fight of the night and you don’t want to miss it,” said Adesanya. Blood Diamond also known as Mike Mathetha is fighting against Jeremiah Wells in the very first fight of the UFC 271 early prelims.
“Yes. BlackJack [Carlos Ulberg] was one of my most frustrating sparring partners. It is going to be a bad night for the other guy. We’re gladiators and we’re gonna do what we do Saturday night,” said Izzy about UFC light heavyweight Carlos Ulberg who also fights in the early prelims against Fabio Cherant.
