UFC is all set to hold their first-ever Pay-per-view event of 2022. This Saturday, January 22, UFC 270 will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The hype around the event is massive. The PPV will contain two title defenses and many other interesting match-ups.

Amid all the craze and excitement fans are critical of the fact that UFC has increased its PPV price for UFC 270. The price of the PPV has increased for the third time in a row. The new price for PPV is now $74.99 which is $5 more than what was before. In the year 2021, the price of PPV was $69.99. Before that, the PPV price was $64.99 which was set for the years 2018 and 2019. The hike of $5 this year automatically has affected the annual subscription for the whole PPV package. The new ESPN+ PPV annual cost has increased from $89.98 to $99.98.

When asked about the revised prices of PPV, UFC president Dana White revealed that it’s not UFC’s fault for the increase in the price and personally he doesn’t like that also. ” We don’t have any say in that. We have the PPV to ESPN, so yeah, that’s their decision. I don’t love when prices get raised, but it’s not my decision. It’s theirs,” said White.
