UFC 290 will headline the company’s International Fight Week. International Fight Week is the Wrestlemania equivalent of the UFC. Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski headlines the PPV card to unify the title against Yair Rodriguez. Rodriguez won the interim-featherweight title at UFC 284.

In the co-main event, flyweight champion Brandon Moreno will defend his title against rival Alexandre Pantoja. Pantoja already holds a victory over Moreno, and the current flyweight champion will look for revenge at UFC 290. The PPV card will also feature the return of Robert Whittaker.

“The Reaper” will take on South African fighter Dricus Du Plessis. The bout serves as a middleweight title eliminator, with the winner guaranteed a title shot. Du Plessis has an undefeated record in the UFC and will look to shock the world by defeating Whittaker. College wrestling standout and UFC prospect Bo Nickal will make his second PPV appearance at UFC 290.

Legendary fighter Robbie Lawler will compete in his retirement fight against Niko Price. The event returns to the US after heading to Canada for UFC 289. It also means popular MMA personality Joe Rogan will return to the commentary team. All in all, the event may pan out to be the greatest UFC PPV in recent memory.
