UFC 292 will return to Boston for the first time in almost four years. The last time the UFC held an event in Boston, it happened before the pandemic. Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will take on Sean O’Malley for his fourth title defense. Sterling defeated Henry Cejudo at UFC 288 to set up the bout with O’Malley.

In the co-main event, strawweight champion Zhang Weili defends her title against Amanda Lemos. Weili defeated Carla Esparza last year to capture the strawweight title for the second time in her career. The PPV card also features the return of former middleweight champion Chris Weidman after his horrific leg break.

Weidman will fight Brad Tavares as the main attraction of the Prelims on ESPN2/ESPN+. Irish prospect Ian Machado Garry will take on veteran Neil Magny on the main card. Garry was supposed to fight Geoff Neal, but Neal pulled out due to an injury. The finals of TUF season 31 will also happen in the Prelims. Lightweight fighter Austin Hubbard takes on Kurt Holobaugh to become The Ultimate Fighter of season 31.
