UFC President Dana White has had viral moments throughout his career. MMA might be the only sport where the company president is as controversial as the fighters or athletes. However, there are times when Dana White selflessly becomes a laughingstock.
A video of Dana White resurfaced on the internet where he indulges in self-deprecating humor after enjoying some sunshine. The video features the UFC President on a beach in Abu Dhabi. He makes a comment about his tan, stating that people sometimes call him “Dana Pink.” Dana White’s skin turns reddish-pink from time to time. He has yet to disclose a diagnosis for his skin condition.
Dana, visibly pink in this video, makes fun of the reference saying, “People thought I was pink before, yeah look at me now.” He tags the location on the video along with the hashtag “#PinkLivesMatter.” Check out the video below.
Dana White focuses on putting the best possible fights for the fans. Recently, he successfully brought the company back to Newark for the UFC 288 PPV. The PPV broke the record for the highest live gate in Newark for a UFC event. He focuses on promoting UFC 289 as the UFC returns to Canada for its next PPV.
Dana White is under fire for placing Robbie Lawler in prelims
Fight fans expressed their disappointment after Dana White put Robbie Lawler on the prelims of UFC 290. Lawler will retire in July after an illustrious 22 years of combat. However, fight fans wanted Lawler to retire on the main card of the PPV.
International Fight Week is the most important week in the UFC calendar. Selected fighters enter the Hall of Fame, and the UFC will put on an action-packed card in the week in Las Vegas. Dana White decided to make huge fights for the PPV but unfortunately decided to put Lawler on the prelims.
Lawler will take on Niko Price for his retirement fight. After 22 years of competition, Lawler fought over 40 professional MMA fights across various promotions. He had many ups and downs as a fighter throughout his career. Nevertheless, he won the UFC gold in 2014 and defended it twice in back-to-back “Fight of the Year” candidates. Some fight fans may not forgive White for putting Lawler on the prelims.
