Especially, hailing from the same company can provide a sense of companionship. There are a lot of famous siblings working together in the UFC. Fighters like Kamaru Usman and Mohammed Usman as well as Gilbert Burns and his younger brother are prime examples.

Whether they are brothers from the same generation or years apart, having a sibling in the UFC is a gift. The situation only gets iffy if the siblings had to fight each other. Gilbert Burns is a Brazilian MMA fighter competing in the welterweight division. The ‘Durinho’ has wins against dominant fighters like Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson. Burns is also known for his grappling skills alongside his knockout power. Gilbert Burns is set to fight Jorge Masvidal in the upcoming UFC 287 event.

The ‘Durinho’ also has a younger brother hailing from UFC called Herbert Burns. Fighting in the featherweight division, Herbert quickly gained popularity in the UFC roster. The Brazilian is known for his grappling skills and incredible power. Herbert Burns is also a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt.

Gilbert Burns is currently gearing up for UFC 287 fight against Jorge Masvidal. However, Herbert Burns has not been in a fight since his loss against Bill Algeo which took place more than a year ago.

In Herbert’s fight against Bill Algeo for UFC Fight Night, the Brazilian suffered a leg injury. This caused the fight to halt in the second round giving Bill a victory. The Brazilian was gutted due to the injury. He posted a video to Twitter saying “My knee gave out. It was not stable. I couldn’t continue fighting. I couldn’t perform the way I wanted to.“

Fortunately for Herbert, Brother Gilbert came to his rescue. The ‘Durinho’ was seen escorting his brother out of the cage. This maneuver cemented the strong relationship between the ‘Burns Brothers.’
