“Will relinquish it” Kamaru Usman will put BMF belt on the table for Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington fight

Kamaru Usman has an offer for Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington
Kamaru Usman is as excited as anybody else in the world to watch the biggest grudge fight in UFC history. The welterweight champion is feeling a little too generous ahead of UFC 272 and is ready to relinquish his BMF belt for the Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington fight.
UFC 272 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend as two of the biggest rivals in the sport face each other. Jorge Masvidal takes on former friend Colby Covington in the biggest grudge fight. The press conference kicked off yesterday and the hype is through the roof for the main event on Saturday night.
If the grudge, the past, itself is not enough to make you watch Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington, the pound-for-pound king Kamaru Usman is ready to put the BMF (Baddest Mother F**ker) belt at stake for this fight. “I will relinquish the BMF Belt just for this fight,” wrote Usman in a recent tweet.
When did Kamaru Usman win the BMF belt?

Other than having shared each other’s past, Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal have something other in common. Both the fighters have been defeated by the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Not once, but twice. Masvidal and Colby are coming off losses to Usman as they head into their blockbuster fight.
Before going five-rounds head to head with Colby at UFC 268 in November 2021, Usman defeated “Gamebred” Masvidal via a highlight reel one-punch knockout at UFC 261. After beating Masvidal, Usman was seen posing with the BMF belt which Jorge won after beating the Stockton Slugger, Nate Diaz at UFC 244 in 2019.
Usman has already expressed his excitement for the upcoming grudge fight and has wished both his former rivals the best. Beating both the title contenders twice has given the “Nigerian Nightmare” a sense of content.
