“You’re the world champion of nothing,” Mark Hunt trashes UFC Fighter’s pay, insists champions voice out for justice

Mark Hunt goes off about UFC Fighter's pay
Mark Hunt has never been a fan of how the UFC was run. The former heavyweight title contender believes the champions have nothing to fight for in the UFC.
Fighter pay has been a major issue for the world’s biggest MMA promotion. UFC president Dana White has been attacked from all corners regarding this issue but the company does not seem to budge. This time it is former UFC fighter Mark Hunt who unleashes on how poorly run the Ultimate Fighting Championship is. In his recent appearance on MMA Hour hosted by Ariel Helwani, Hunt went off on how bad it is for champions like Francis Ngannou in the business despite being the best fighter.
“I don’t like watching UFC or fighting in general because I know what it’s like at the top. I know what they’re fighting for, NOTHING. They’re fighting for nothing,” said Hunt in the recent episode of MMA Hour. “I’m the world champion of what? Explain to me what you’re the world champion of?”
Mark Hunt says you don’t get anything for reaching the top in UFC

Hunt says there is a point in becoming the champion of Boxing, unlike MMA. The “Super Samoan” firmly believes it is not worth putting your blood, sweat, and tears into becoming the champion of UFC. “If you are the world champion of boxing, there’s reality. You don’t have to worry about money, you don’t have to worry about anything. But in the UFC you make it to the top and what do you get?” asks Hunt.
Mark has been part of a lot of controversies involving the company. The fighter went after the company and the boss, Dana White after his fight against Brock Lesnar was overturned. The UFC superstar was found to be tested positive for use of illegal drugs after the fight was over which led to the fight being called a Draw.
Hunt sued the company in court and also won the case by saying the UFC was well-and-aware of the situation Lesnar was in and still let him continue to fight. Mark Hunt urges the fighters to come together and fight for their rights and the injustice of fighter pay. “If all the fighters got together and said I don’t want to fight for this company no more, there’s no UFC,” says Hunt.
