The 2024 season doesn’t seem to be going quite well for rookie Bo Nix, who has already thrown four interceptions in the last two games. But it seems like the Denver Broncos quarterback is already fed up by being intensely scrutinized in his debut season as he snapped at a reporter enquiring about his interception in the recent loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Nix seemed particularly upset by the recent loss whose reason many speculate to be the Steelers’ revenge strategy for Russell Wilson. However, for the rookie, it seems beyond that. In his two games, he hasn’t logged any passing touchdowns and against the Steelers, he was quite close that would have put six points on the scoreboard.
But his throw in the end zone ended up being intercepted, resulting in a 13-6 defeat for the Broncos. Nix was utterly upset by the failure and his frustration was well-reflected as he gave a blunt reaction to a reporter asking about his end zone interception, during the post-game press conference.
Uh, yeah. Dropped back. Threw it to the other team.Bo Nix said when asked about the roadmap to the costly interception
The Broncos rookie’s response came out quite blunt and unfiltered on what exactly went wrong. It happened in the fourth quarter when they were on second-and-goal as Nix aimed toward Courtland Sutton in the end zone. However, the play was intercepted by Cory Trice Jr., marking the rookie’s fourth interception of the season.
Bo Nix takes responsibility for interception in week 2
Although the first-year quarterback was at fault for the interception, head coach Sean Payton didn’t blame him entirely. He admitted to making “mistakes in the routes.” However, this didn’t stop Nix from feeling responsible.
That’s why, later when asked about receiver Josh Reynolds, who previously caught a 49-yard pass, the quarterback took the responsibility for the interception logged after that.

It’s stuff like that that you look at it as an offense and you have to get points. You can’t turn the ball over like I did right after that with the momentum. I can sit here and say that, but I just have to go out there and execute better.Bo Nix said
Nix completed the game finishing 20 of 35 passes for 246 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. After these two losses, all eyes are set on week 3 as Nix would get a chance to redeem himself in the upcoming match against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in week 3.
