The Bloodline WarGames match at Survivor Series was an entertaining main event, filled with several notable spots. However, one of these spots led to multiple stars suffering drastic injuries. Among them was Bronson Reed, who suffered a broken toe while attempting a Tsunami from the top of the cage. Although WWE didn’t provide a time frame for his recovery, a recent update suggests bad news for both the company and Reed.

While speaking on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Reed would have surgery on the broken foot. Moreover, WWE sources stated to him that they expect Reed to be out of action for a “long time.” This means that he will most likely miss next year’s WrestleMania. To no surprise, fans were left heartbroken by this update.

After all, Reed was arguably on the best run of his career until Survivor Series. The 36-year-old star gained momentum during the summer when he first brutalized Seth Rollins. Since then, he has been one of the best-featured acts on weekly television, especially throughout his rivalry with Braun Strowman. Whether it be hitting rivals with devastating Tsunamis or running through walls backstage, Reed’s segments were undoubtedly entertaining.

Bronson Reed had also pinned a former World Champion in Rollins prior to Survivor Series. At the moment, there is no indication as to what plans were for Reed at WrestleMania XL. Interestingly, it would’ve marked the debut of the former NXT North American Champion on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Bronson Reed sends message during live Monday Night Raw broadcast

Amid his absence from television, Bronson Reed is closely following the current ongoings on Monday Night Raw. In fact, the Auszilla sent a message during the live broadcast of the 12/9 edition of the show. Reed seemingly reacted to the Seth Rollins-Sami Zayn segment on his X account.

The former NXT North American Champion claimed that several people on Raw needed a slap in their face. Furthermore, he vowed to slap both Zayn and Rollins upon his return while responding to a fan in the comment section.

Reed’s absence is certainly felt on the red brand. Interestingly, WWE reportedly fast-tracked Drew McIntyre‘s return to fill the void left on the roster after Reed suffered an injury. Having said that, fans cannot wait to see the 36-year-old star returning and wreaking havoc on Monday nights.
