“Unprofessional But Awesome” Dana White applauds ACA owner for unusual disqualification due to boredom

Dana White may not agree with the methods of Mairbek Khasiev, the founder of ACA but he sure does seem to understand why one would do it. In a recent interview with Lauran Sanko, White reacted to the bizarre ending to the ACA event after having suffered a similar night of dull fights at the DWCS.
Last week during a 5 round fight of the ongoing lightweight Tournament at Absolute Championship Akhmat, UFC vet Rashid Magomedov and Ali Bagov were set to clash in the quarterfinals. However, after a very low output 4 rounds, the head of the organization had enough.
Khasiev himself walked into the cage, and waved off the ongoing fight due to boredom and it was ruled a DQ No-contest. This sent out ripples across the MMA community where fans started asking if Dana could have done this during certain Strawweight and middleweight fights.
“The ACA League today, is regardless of what anyone says is the 2nd greatest fight league in the world. Every time I say this, someone comes out with some sort of criticism. And now we are showing you what sort of league we really are.” said Khasiev as he went on to say that this wasn’t a school yard fight and praise god and Akhmat.
Dana White to take inspiration for ACA if DWCS Fighters don’t step up
Now the boss man has replied and it was certainly the most appropriate time to get his reaction. Dana himself had a bad night filming the first episode of the upcoming season of DWCS. A night that saw only one finish, had Dana fuming over young talent not risking it all on the show that produced stars such as Sean O’Malley and Kevin Holland.
White’s response made it clear that while he would never consider doing such an act himself he wholeheartedly applauds the thought process that led to it. While having a tirade about his own night of fights to Sanko, White said, ““Highly, incredibly unprofessional, but f**cking awesome at the same time. Was it really a boring fight? Well, that gives me some f**king ideas for next Tuesday.”
White further went on rant about how he expects better things from the fighters appearing on the Tuesday filming of the show. He said, “I don’t give a s*** what you did yesterday, two years ago, throughout the rest of your career – right here, right now, show me, show the media and show the rest of the world who you are.”
White had some more inspiring words for the young up and comers that could almost amout to a Oscar winning eminem song saying, “Who are you? Every night is not going to be your night. But f**king Tuesday night better be your night.”
