Naomi Osaka has made a huge name for herself in a very short span of time. She is one of the top athletes representing Japan on the international stage. Her stardom will only grow in the coming years. She will now feature in a manga titled ‘Unrivaled-Naomi Tenkaichi’. Osaka will be the main character of this series.

The word ‘Tenkaichi’ means best in the world or the best under heaven. The manga is a science-fiction sports action series which will portray Naomi Osaka as someone who aims to be the best tennis player in the world of Rocket.

The latest pictures show both Naomi Osaka and her sister, Mari Osaka in the series.

The publisher of the manga is Nakayoshi, which is Japan’s most popular girls’ comics anthology. Mari Osaka also plays a supervisory role in the series. The series depicts Naomi Osaka in an aesthetic character with pink and purple hair. She also has a purple racquet in hand, to take on her opponents in space.

Naomi Osaka said that she was very excited for the new series, and believed it was a proud moment for her and her sister as well. Growing up reading manga/watching anime was something that bonded me and my sister immensely so this is really exciting for both of us,” wrote Osaka on Twitter.

Naomi Osaka, at the age of just 23 years had made herself a superstar. The three time Grandslam champion has been out of action since her US Open triumph in September. She will make her return at the Australian Open 2021, which commences from February 8. The Japanese had won the Australian Open title in 2019, defeating Petra Kvitova.
