Speaking on the Jim Cornette experience, the wrestling legend said that Uso’s victory meant that other fan favorites like Seth Rollins, CM Punk, John Cena, and Roman Reigns all had to lose. Cornette believed that fans were much more interested in seeing these other guys win the 30-man match and potentially challenge Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania.
Cornette said that nobody wanted to see Uso squared up against Rhodes at WrestleMania. Furthermore, he believed that fans still saw the World Heavyweight Championship as a secondary title that one shouldn’t waste their Rumble victory on. Lastly, he noted that if the Samoan is unable to overcome Gunther at WrestleMania, the Yeet train will run out of steam very soon.
