The latest episode of Raw emanated from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Canada. This edition was the season premiere of the show. Due to the show’s importance and location, it featured a special appearance from Canadian hero Bret Hart. Following Hart’s segment, WWE CCO Triple H recently shared some footage of his backstage interaction with the wrestling legend.
Hunter posted a video on social media of him meeting with Bret Hart backstage. He greeted the Canadian and told him that he had done a great job at the show. The King of Kings thanked him for making it to the show and appreciated the time and effort he took to be there.
The latest episode of Raw featured The Hitman coming out to address the Calgary crowd. Furthermore, he talked about being a Canadian champion and never backing down. Hart said that he had proved himself as the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be.
This statement perhaps upset Gunther, who came out to interrupt the wrestling legend. The Ring General claimed that the 67-year-old may have been the best during his time, but the torch has now been passed down to him.
The World Heavyweight Champion said that while Hart was his childhood hero, he would always be second to his actual favorite, Bill Goldberg. This remark, especially in Canada, elicited a huge reaction from the live crowd. Gunther was eventually interrupted by Sami Zayn, who came out to challenge the 36-year-old for a championship match.
Vince Russo calls out Triple H following a Hell in a Cell announcement for Bad Blood
Triple H recently sent a message on X promoting the upcoming Bad Blood PLE. In the post, he talked about the announced Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. While many fans were excited by this, former WWE writer Vince Russo took up an issue with the post.
Russo is actually the one who named the stipulation. However, he was upset about it being used in the wrong manner. He set the record straight and stated that he named the match “Hell in the Cell,” not “Hell in a Cell.” This was because the cell was meant to be a character in itself. Furthermore, he called out Triple H and asked him to be correct on his historical knowledge.
Every Bad Blood pay-per-view in the history of the company has been main evented by a Hell in a Cell match. The stipulation is almost synonymous with the event itself, and the company will likely keep up the tradition in Atlanta.
