The last UFC event was stacked with super exciting fights. With two title fights between Alexander Volkanovski vs The Korean Zombie and Aljmain Sterling vs Petr Yan the night was really exciting. Moreover, another much anticipated bout between Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns was really amazing.
At UFC 273, Khamzat Chimaev proved his calibre against Gilbert Burns infront of the while world. He defeated Burns via unanimous decision to get closer for the title shot he is aiming for.
Apart from that, in the main and co-main event bout, Alexander Volkanovski TKOed The Korean Zombie in the fourth round. Aljamain Sterling won via decision against the former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan. Both the champion defended their belts against their respective challengers.

Alexander Volkanovski becomes the new no 2 pound for pound fighter in the UFC
Ofcourse defeating a ranked 2 fighter while being a ranked 10 fighter, Khamzat jumped 7 fighters to enter the top 5 welterweight rankings in the new UFC rankings. He is currently ranked 3 in the division.
On the contrary, Burns fell two places down and is currently ranked fourth in the welterweight division. However, another significant change that fight fans can notice in the new rankings is Alexander Volkanovski outranked the middleweight champion Israel Adesanya to become the new numbet 2 pound for pound fighter in the UFC. This is certainly a big jump for the featherweight champion.
He is currently on undefeated in the promotion and has managed to dominate each and every one he has faced inside the octagon. So, it will be interesting to see if he tried to move up a weight and try to become the best pound for pound fighter in the UFC.
