Being no strangers to his in-ring struggles in recent years, Goldberg is putting in the work to walk into his last wrestling match healthy.

Having not wrestled in WWE since February 2022, Goldberg is hoping to chisel down his frame in time for his wrestling swansong. But what is he doing to achieve the desired results? Speaking on the CarCast podcast, the Hall of Famer’s go-to workouts include stretching for about 45 minutes.

He’s earmarked the same time to go through what he described as the “Jack LaLanne workout.” It was merely six months ago when Da Man started experiencing difficulties in walking. Goldberg could barely do it after having to crawl in the beginning. Moreover, to tackle his shoulder woes, the 57-year-old will take a trip to the southern part of America to undergo stem cell therapy.

Bill’s in-ring outings since returning to WWE in 2016 have been rather squash matches. Only once has he gone over 10 minutes. That was back in 2021 at Crown Jewel PLE, where he lost to Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred bout. Goldberg had previously succumbed to The All Mighty earlier that year at SummerSlam, failing to regain the WWE title.

But that’s a thing of the past. Looking at what’s ahead, Bill Goldberg will soon step back inside a WWE ring. Even though there’s no word on when that will happen, WrestleMania 41 might suffice. It’s been quite a while since the Oklahoma-born wrestler has competed at The Show of Shows.

Taking a stroll down memory lane, Goldberg defended his Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. The night didn’t end the way Bill would’ve wanted. He lost the gold to The Beast. The very next year at Mania, Goldberg received his Hall of Fame induction.

Who could face Goldberg in his last wrestling match?

In October 2024, the former WCW Champion attended the Bad Blood PLE in his hometown of Atlanta. Goldberg got into the crosshairs of Gunther, who talked trash about the veteran wrestler in front of his wife and son, Gage.

After hearing enough, the former Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle jumped the barricade and was eager to confront The Ring General. However, security got in the way and averted a catastrophe.

Since then, there have been rumors of Gunther possibly being Goldberg’s last opponent inside the squared circle. If that falls through, there’s one more option for The Wrecking Machine. His name is Bron Breakker.

For the latter, Goldberg’s someone he used to look up to since his childhood due to the legend’s close bond with Breakker’s father and uncle—the Steiner Brothers. Moreover, Bron and Goldberg use spears as their finishers, so WWE could also base the rivalry around it.
