Dominic Thiem is all set to win his first Grand Slam. The Austrian has made it to the slam finals but never won the title. In the absence of Novak Djokovic, the Austrian is a favourite to win.

Unfortunately, a night before the d-day, Thiem has faced a major setback. He has suffered an impingement after hyper-extension in his right foot. Alex Stober, Thiem’s physiotherapist is continuously monitoring him.

In an outburst of anger, he lashed out “What kind of shoes are these! I’ve slipped 7 times already. Incredible,” anguished Thiem, in German.

The Austrian has had the same issue as American Serena Williams. While the American lost her match, Thiem managed to beat Daniil Medvedev.

Thiem is all set to play the finals on Sunday. He will surely speak to Adidas for a different pair of shoes. The brand will be upset as the Austrian lashed out yelling about the poor quality of the shoes.
