The Valencia forward Rafa Mir found himself in the midst of some hot pickle on Sunday night as he was arrested after two women filed a complaint against him of se*ual assault. It wasn’t just Mir who was alleged to be a part of this entire act but his friend and fellow footballer, Pablo Jara was also a ‘part’ of the act as he was accused of punching one of the two women.

The women told police that they had met Mir and his friend, Jara in a night club on Sunday. After meeting them in the night club, the two girls had gone with Mir to his house. Following this incident, Mir had se*ually assaulted them while his friend, Jara punched one of them after they refused to have s*x with them.

We can confirm a La Liga footballer has been arrested over an alleged se*ual assault. No-one else has been arrested at the moment but that may change later. The man who has been detained is currently in police custody.
A spokesperson for the force in Valencia said

Rafael Mir Vicente won the 2019 Euro Championship with the Spanish U21 team and was also a part of the silver-winning Spanish team in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He was a part of a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Wolves where he linked up with his former Valencia boss, Nuno Espirito Santo. Sadly, he only got four games in the Premier League side, compelling him to move to Sevilla first where he won the Europa League, before returning to Valencia once again.
