VCC is officially a part of the Valorant Champions Tour, Riot’s official 2021 tournament circuit. Best Indian teams claimed their crown as the best teams of South Asia and it was the time to show everyone who is the best.
Global Esports vs Velocity Gaming
Last time Velocity Gaming sent Global Esports in the lower bracket and GE climbed their way up in the grand finals and faced Velocity Gaming to give back the favor. It’s always exciting to watch a Velocity Gaming and Global Esports matchup as they are the best the region has to offer.

Ascent was the decider map.
Map 1 (Split)
Global Esports started the map comfortably and finished the half with 7 rounds in their pocket. VLT comeback stronger and managed to pull back the score in their favor and finally took the map with a 13-10 score on the board.
Map 2(Haven)
Global Esport faced defeat in their own map pick and they were ready for revenge on the map of haven. GE took the control of the game right off the bat. GE took the first half with an 8-4 score. Velocity Gaming showed really good resistance but Global Esports took the map with a 13-11 scoreline.
Map 3 (Breeze)
In the map of Breeze, VLT started with a bang and finished the half with an 8-4 score. It is the 3rd time these two teams met on Breeze and just like the other 2 times the game went into the overtimes but unlike the other 2 times this time, Global Esports managed to take the win and secure the 2nd map for themselves with a 15-13 scoreline.

Map 4 (Icebox)
This was the do or die map for Velocity Gaming and they did what they need to do. Although the first half finished with an even 6-6 score, Velocity Gaming managed to put the 2nd half in their bag and win the map with a 13-9 score on the board.
Map 5 (Ascent)
In the decider map, Velocity Gaming totally dominated Global Esports and finished the half with a 9-3 half. In the second half, GE took the first 2 rounds and the 4 following gun rounds. Global Esports sealed the deal with a 13-10 scoreline on the board. Global Esports will be representing India in the VCT APAC Last Chance Qualifier.
MVP of the Tournament
The man who pulled Global Esports out of their grave in the last map of the Grand Finals, SKRossi got the award of MVP of the tournament. This beast of a player is a one-trick Jett main and he dominated all the maps with his Jett gameplay. With a total of 254 kills and an unbelievable 261 ACS, SKRossi definitely deserved the title of “MVP of the Tournament” and the $1500 which came with it.
