VCC Grand Final Playoffs Day 1 came to an end. All the talented teams from across the region. Teams from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka played against each other to get closer to the APAC Last Chance Qualifiers.
VCC Grand Final Playoffs Day 1
VCC is officially a part of the Valorant Champions Tour, Riot’s official 2021 tournament circuit. On day 1 the Best Valorant teams from all the sub-regions faced each other and the best teams advanced their way to the higher bracket of the series.
A total of 4 games were played on VCC Grand Final Playoffs Day 1. All of the games were BO3s and the first team to get 2 matches moved ahead and the defeated teams will have to face each other in the lower bracket.
Game 1(Velocity Gaming vs Exceeli Esports)
Map 1(Breeze): Velocity Gaming showed dominance right off the bat and ended the first half with a 10-2 scoreline. Although Exceeli Esports managed to win the 2nd pistol round after that it was all Velocity as they finished the map with a 13-3 scoreline.
Map 2(Bind): In this map, Exceeli showed their potential in the first quarter of the match as they managed to get a 5-1 score against VLT but after that everything went downhill for Exceeli Esports as Velocity Gaming took the map with 13-8 score.
Map 3(Icebox): Velocity Gaming won the first 2 maps so this map was not played.
Game 2(Team Exploit vs Crash Landin on You)
Map 1(Ascent): Crash Landin on You got the 4 rounds in their favor but that was about it as Team Exploit came back hard and closed the map with a 13- 5 scoreline.
Map 2(Breeze): This map was also totally dominated by the Pakistani team, Team Exploit as they finished the game with a 13- 4 score.
Map 3(Split): Team Exploit won the first 2 maps so this map was not played.
Game 3(Damaru Gaming vs Global Esports)
Map 1(Bind): Global Esports showcased their potential right off the bat as they dominated Damaru Gaming and took the map with a 13-3 scoreline.
Map 2(Split): These 2 teams went head to head in the first half and the half ended with a 7-5 score in GE’s favor. The second half went totally in GE’s favor as they wrapped up the map with a 13-6 scoreline.
Map 3(Icebox): Global Esports won the first 2 maps so this map was not played.
Game 4(Enigma Gaming vs Salt Esports)
Map 1(Bind): Enigma Gaming the Wildcard entries showed their true potential from the beginning of the match. They read Salt Esports like a book and dominated the whole map and wrapped up with the 13-3 scoreline.
Map 2(Icebox): In this map, it seemed like Salt Esports had no answer to Enigma’s gameplay, Enigma totally outplayed and outgunned Salt Esports and took the W with a convincing 13-1 score.
Map 3(Haven): Enigma Gaming won the first 2 maps so this map was not played.
