Valorant Mobile
Valorant Mobile might just be finally happening with new leaks and pieces of information being scavenged by data miners. With the onset of Apex Legends set to debut on mobile devices later this year, Riot releasing Valorant on mobile platforms might be just the information we needed. Valorant on mobile and consoles would be a great move for Riot and with the mobile UI discovered last year, it is already suggested that Riot may be working on a mobile version of their popular competitive shooter.
Riot might have built Valorant with the sole intention of making this the best game it could be for PC, but when millions poured into RIOT servers and interest spiked, the game’s potential to port across to other platforms was soon noticed. Based on Riot’s response to community requests, such as the inclusion of Spike Rush, Escalation and Deathmatch or Snowball fight, balancing Agents, and tweaking Competitive ranks, it’s pretty evident that the developers are in this for the long-haul.
Previously, we had seen strings of the Valorant Mobile tutorial being leaked by data miners. The Valorant Mobile settings were also leaked prior to that. Sources close to Riot Games have claimed that the title, which has been tentatively named Valorant Mobile, is in the works while the company analyzes the game’s market. Furthermore, pointed out by ValorantExpress, they claim Valorant’s mobile release is presently being worked on. The latest data mining found device profiles for both the iPhoneX and iPhoneXS in the 1.09 patch notes.
While Ziegler had confirmed in the past that they’re working on bringing Valorant to console by stating that Riot has a dedicated team towards assessing the feasibility of shipping the title over to Xbox and PlayStation, the datamined string of code pertaining to mobile must be taken with a pinch of salt, until Riot released an official statement announcing their progress.
