The moment which all eSports fans were waiting for finally here, the Valorant Masters Reykjavík, Iceland. After almost a year finally, a LAN event is going to happen in REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND. After a series of multiple qualifiers and finals, the best 10 teams from around the world will be selected and these teams Qualified for VCT are facing each other in the Master hosted at Laugardalshöll venue.
VCT Masters 2 Day 2 Reykjavík
On 25 May 2021, There were be 3 games on day 2 and all the games will be in the format of Best of 3 maps. The first team to win 2 maps will take the win. VCT Masters 2 Day 2 Reykjavík will be as exciting as the day 1.
Game 1 (Team Vikings vs X10 Esports)
In the first matchup of VCT Masters 2 Day 2 Reykjavík, Brazilian Powerhouse Team Vikings faced SEA’s representative X10 Esports.
Map 1 (Icebox): In a nail-biting back and forth of rounds Vikings went a bit further than X10.Team Vikings won the map with a 13 – 11 scoreline.
Map 2 (Ascent): The first Overtime of the Masters 2. This game was just high-key intense. Team Vikings won the map with 14-12 on the scoreboard.
Map 3(Haven): Team Vikings won the first 2 maps so map 3 was not played.
Winner
With 2-0 on the scoreboard Team Vikings took the win of VCT Masters 2 Day 2 Reykjavík.
Game 2 (Team Liquid vs Version1)
Finally, the moment everyone was waiting for NA vs EU. The best team of EMEA Team Liquid faced Version1 of NA in the 2nd game of the VCT Masters Reykjavík Day 2.
Map 1 (Split): Comeback from Version1 then comeback from Team Liquid and the map goes to Overtime. After Team Liquid wins the 25th round still Version1 pulled them on 2nd Overtime. A 30 rounds game, Team Liquid take the win with 16-14 on the scoreboard.
Map 2 (Ascent): Version1 won a solid 5 rounds at the beginning of the match but Team Liquid came back with 5 consistent rounds of their own. This map was not for you if we are weak hearted. With the double shock darts Version1 won with 13-11 on the scoreboard.
Map 3 (Haven): Version1 got the best of Team Liquid with their post plant lineups with a 10-2 half. Version1 won with 13-4 on the top of the screen.
Winner
After upsetting more than half a dozen NA teams Version1 upsets the best of EU Team Liquid. Version1 wins with 2-1 score.
Game 3 (Sentinels vs Fnatic)
Another NA vs EU. In the last game of the day 2. Fnatic of EMEA faced the best NA has to offer, Sentinels.
Map 1 Icebox): The map started with a equal 6-6 half. Although Fnatic gave a good fight but Sentinels wins with 13-11 on scoreboard.
Map 2 (Haven): In the map 3 Sentinels dominated most of the match. Sentinels won with 13 – 10 score.
Map 3 (Ascent): Sentinels won the first 2 maps so map 3 was not played.
Winner
Sentinels took the win 2 – 0 on the scoreboard.
Updated Bracket
- Team Vikings sent X10 Esports in the lower brackets.
- Version1 sent Tean Liquid in the lower bracket.
- Sentinels sent Fnatic in the lower bracket.
