Victor Wembanyama’s emotional conversation with Kevin Durant after losing gold medal revealed
An emotional Victor Wembanyama had a post-game talk with Team USA's Kevin Durant, following France's loss in the gold medal game.

San Antonio Spurs rookie star Victor Wembanyama had one of the best rookie seasons last year, eventually winning ‘Rookie of the Year.’ Wemby carried the Spurs on his back but didn’t have a great supporting cast. In the recent Olympics, he represented the host France and was certainly the best player on the team.
France made it to the finals of the Olympics and faced a stronger Team USA. In the thrilling finals, it was the USA who came on top with Stephen Curry hitting four clutch threes to seal the deal. Following the loss Victor Wembanyama became emotional and was seen in tears.
Recently Wemby appeared on the show “M6INFO” and shed some light on his post-game talk with Kevin Durant. On the show, he mentioned Durant being his personal childhood favorite superstar. Both stars had a wholesome conversation post-game after the finals.

Both stars carry immense respect for each other. Durant is a 16-year veteran in the NBA while Wemby has just started and will aim to reach the same superstar status as Durant in the coming years. In only his rookie season, the Frenchman has already shown the signs of a future NBA great.
Victor Wembanyama gets high praise from the France Prime Minister Gabriel Attal
In his Olympics run Victor Wembanyama delivered on all the expectations with which he entered the tournament. After having great a group stage, France entered the finals with the aim of slaying the mighty Team USA. France tried their very best but ultimately, failed to get the gold medal.
Even though they lost Wemby had a great game with 26 points and seven rebounds. The young star led all the players in scoring at just 20 years of age. Wemby got praises from many fans and stars out of which was the French PM Gabriel Attal. The French PM commented on the star player’s post praising him and stated that this was just the beginning.

Wembanyama was just inches close to winning the gold medal but came up short. He is just 20 years old and still has a lot of important years ahead of him. He will certainly be one of the biggest stars in basketball.
