Although women’s wrestling was unfortunately not given much importance during the Ruthless Aggression Era, this time period was still led by some strong female talent at the helm. Of course, the two names that come up the most are Trish Stratus and Lita. However, a very underrated female wrestler from this era is Victoria.
Victoria made an appearance in the front row during the latest episode of SmackDown. This comes just a few months after her signing a legends deal with WWE. Her most recent appearance with the Stamford-based promotion was in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Prior to that, she had competed in the 25-Diva Battle Royale at WrestleMania 25 in 2009.
Following the 2009 match, she had a long run in TNA and some sporadic appearances in other promotions until she retired in 2019. It is worth noting that she did take part in a match as recently as 2023. This was a tag team match that took place on an episode of TNA Impact.

Now that she has signed a legends deal with the company, many fans have pushed for her to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. This could even happen potentially as soon as the 2025 class. One of the greatest rivals of her career, Trish Stratus, has also pushed for her nomination into the Hall of Fame for years now.
Victoria reveals details about her Legends Contract with WWE
As mentioned previously, this appearance by Victoria comes not too long after her signing a Legends deal with WWE in August 2024. During a recent live stream on WhatNot, she revealed some details about her contract. She likes to call this deal a “Nostalgia Contract.”
The 2-time Women’s Champion joked that fans should not expect to see a Funko Pop of her any time soon. In fact, any such merchandise of hers will take 9 to 12 months to create from the date of signing. However, she is now allowed to use the WWE logo and the ‘Victoria’ brand name in her advertisements.
The 53-year-old also clarified that she does not get free tickets to WrestleMania. Even if it was a part of her deal, she liked to support the product. Furthermore, she would be too embarrassed to ask. Lastly, Victoria said that just because of this deal, fans should not expect to see her in the ring anytime soon. However, she did drop a tease by saying that one should never say never.
