Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, surprised everyone at Intuit Dome by showing up at the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Detroit Pistons game on Wednesday, March 5. Obama got up, and the crowd cheered him on, offering him a standing ovation.

All of this took place amidst the ongoing political unrest in the USA. For context, U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy argued during a disastrous White House meeting on Friday. JD Vance, the vice president, lit the piece of paper for the relationship collapse.

When Zelensky questioned Vance’s calls for “diplomacy” with Moscow, the US leader accused him of not being “thankful” for US help, further solidifying his role as Trump’s attack dog. In addition, Trump also imposed different sorts of economic tariffs on Canada and Mexico. This has added to the political unrest in the country.

Despite all of this, Obama, an ex-politician, still received the support of his fellow US citizens. This shows the backing he has from the nation despite retiring from active politics years ago. On the other hand, former NBA player Charles Barkley urged NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL champions to visit President Donald Trump at the White House.

Ever since Trump was elected President, many NBA teams refused to go the White House. A long-standing custom honoring the winners of America’s four major league tournaments. That is because, Barkley feels that allowing political affinities to obstruct a felicitation is immature behavior. Additionally, he believes that the authority and dignity of the presidency are in jeopardy.

Barack Obama had a startling reaction to James Harden’s dunk

Despite being without Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers recovered from their three-game losing streak. Harden’s 50 points, four rebounds, and five assists helped the Clippers overcome Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons 123-115 on Wednesday. However, it is former USA president Barack Obama who stole the headlines lately.

Harden made a wide-open dunk with just over six minutes left in the game to extend the Clippers’ lead to six points. The camera switched to Obama, who was seated courtside next to Clippers owner Steve Balmer, as soon as Harden made his dunk. Notably, the 44th President remained in the “thinking” stance, gazing off into space, with no response to Harden’s dunk.

This quickly went viral amongst the NBA community. Many fans had different reactions to Obama’s ‘thinking pose’, making it a topic to talk about. Ultimately, Obama is an avid sports fan. Also, he often attends various sports events. He has immense respect from US citizens and various athletes across the nation.
