Following the Paris Olympics, Anthony Edwards takes on boxing lessons as he prepares himself ahead of the upcoming NBA season.

Anthony Edwards is making the most of his free time after helping Team USA win gold at the 2024 Olympics. The Timberwolves star has wasted no time in getting himself fully fit, as he prepares for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Lately, the NBA player was seen taking boxing lessons in an effort to upgrade his personal training.
Edwards posted a video on his Instagram account, practicing boxing with an instructor. In the clip, he could be seen wearing boxing gloves and throwing punches, while being tutored by his coach.
The video has since garnered tons of reactions after Edwards shared it on his Instagram page. With the new season just months away, some fans have applauded the Olympic gold medalist for doing his best to stay in great shape. Others humorously suggested that he’s preparing for when he faces Warriors star Draymond Green.
Since being drafted first overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2020, his career has been nothing short of phenomenal. The 23-year-old’s remarkable ball skills has earned him the nickname, “Ant-Man”. The two-time All-Star will be looking to build on his recent Team USA success and performances last season when the league starts.
Anthony Edwards felt bad about eliminating Kevin Durant in NBA Playoffs
Last season, Anthony Edwards was pivotal in ensuing the Phoenix Suns were eliminated by the Timberwolves in the NBA playoffs. However, he wasn’t too happy that he sent his idol, Kevin Durant, back home early. Ant-Man made this known recently while he was on a panel together with Durant.
While speaking at Fanatics Fest in New York City, Edwards opened up about his true feelings after that game. He talked about how ending the Phoenix Suns run at the playoffs wasn’t all joy for him.
I’m not gonna lie. I felt bad a little bit, only because he’s my favorite player of all time. I didn’t wanna send him home like that. I felt really bad.Anthony Edwards said
According to him, eliminating his idol that night was something bitter-sweet. On one hand, he was glad to help his team advance into the next round. On the other hand, he wasn’t very happy, considering that Durant was in the opposing team.
It’s no longer a secret that Edwards is a huge fan of Durant right from his days in college. He further got the opportunity this year to continue his bromance with the four-time gold medalist during the Paris Olympics. During their time in France, he was spotted everywhere KD was, especially at training sessions. This relationship between the duo likely led to a lethal partnership in games that helped Team USA to Olympic glory.
