Washington Commanders star Terry McLaurin gets a bear hug from Magic Johnson after playoff win
Since retiring, Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson has been putting his knowledge of business to good use. Now a billionaire, he is also part owners of a few sports teams, such as the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Sparks had a forgettable season as they finished dead last in this past WNBA season. However, he is excited for their future with the talent at their disposal. The Los Angeles Dodgers though, have a lot of talent and it played out when they defeated the New York Yankees this season to win the World Series.
Both the Sparks and Dodgers have seen him taste championship champagne as an owner. However, the Washington Commanders had not won a playoff game since 2005. But all that changed when the team scored the winning field goal to win their Wild Card round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Commanders minority owner was overjoyed as he was seen waiting in the tunnels and giving a tight hug to his players coming in. Footage shows him greeting wide receiver Terry McLaurin with his trademark wide smile. He then proceeded to bear hug the All-Pro, showing all too well how ecstatic he was.

Magic Johnson sported a Commanders jacket and will now wait with bated breath as they march into the Divisional round. There they will take on the formidable Detroit Lions, however, even if they lose, Johnson will see this as a first step as rookie Jayden Daniels gives them hope for a stellar future.
Angel Reese joins Magic Johnson to cheer for Commanders
As soon as the game ended, football fans took to twitter to express their admiration for Jayden Daniels. The rookie QB kept his nerves and drove them down the field to set up the game winning field goal. Watching this unfold, WNBA superstar Angel Reese and Washington Commanders fan wrote this on X.
That No. 5 with a full stop was an ode to Daniels for steering the team to its first playoff win in almost two decades. It means, Angel Reese has never seen that happen since she was old enough to love the game. The Sky star has been cheering for her DMV area teams this season.

She attended a game wearing a Commanders jersey and the team went on to win. She still has kept the record as all teams she has cheered on for at their home games have won. The WNBA rebounding phenom currently has to resort to watching games on TV. She is in Miami for the debut season of Unrivaled League and cannot travel until the season is over.
