Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiver has made massive renovations to the garage in his house after just one year of professional football.

Any visitor to Xavier Worthy’s house in Kansas must check out his garage. The Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver converted the space into a memorabilia room.

Worthy grew up surrounded by athletes. He did track aside from playing football. The 21-year-old became a household name at Texas Longhorns and later made the switch to the NFL.

The Chiefs traded up to draft Worthy ahead of Keon Coleman. He signed a four-year, $13.7 million, fully guaranteed rookie contract with a $6.8 million signing bonus and an average salary of $3.4 million per year with the Chiefs. His base salary in 2024 was $795,000.

So Worthy earned enough cash to splash some on some of his dream projects. One of them turned out to be turning the garage in his house into a room filled with memories of his past heroics. A kaleidoscope of photos from his days in Texas and from his rookie campaign with the Chiefs.

The only photo that was missing on the wall—lifting the Lombardi Trophy. He came close, but unlike Rashee Rice, Worthy failed to win the Super Bowl on his first attempt. The Chiefs reached their third consecutive Super Bowl, but were outclassed by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The decor inside Xavier Worthy’s garage attracted ample attention on social media. Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher Micah Parsons retweeted the video, trying to recruit a professional artist who can replicate the same as Worthy’s garage.

Xavier Worthy’s car collection can make anyone drool

Filling the home garage with photos of his football moments isn’t anything unusual. If anyone wishes to see how an NFL veteran can go all out with his money for renovation, then they must check out Raiders star Maxx Crosby’s hood.

However, even the All-Pro edge rusher has to concede to Xavier Worthy in terms of owning luxury cars. He arrived in a matte black Rolls Royce (costing between $350,000 and $500,000) back in January before a playoff game and used to drive a sleek Dodge Charger (costing between $33,000 and $100,000) in college. Some reports even claimed Worthy bought a Bugatti ($2 million) during his second year at Longhorns.

How can Worthy afford so much?

College athletes owned expensive rides in the old days too, but it was limited to only a chosen few. The colleges used to entice the best of the best recruits to join their program through such gifts.

That scenario has changed. Now college athletes don’t need gifts; they can earn their own green from NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) through various endorsements.

Worthy was a four-star prospect coming out of high school, but he became a bona fide star in college. He signed NIL deals with Sonic, a fast-food chain, and American Airlines. According to On3.com, Xavier Worthy had an NIL evaluation of $765,000 that included an NIL value of $229,000 and his roster value of $536,000.

Worthy refurbished his garage to hold the collection of cars, which he no longer has to share with ex-girlfriend/fiancee Tia Jones.

Separation from fiancee

Worthy and Jones, a track-and-field athlete, fell in love in college and got engaged after the Chiefs drafted him last year. They began living in the Kansas house together until recently.

The Chiefs fans are no strangers to a few bad eggs in their basket, but no one suspected Worthy ending up in police custody for allegedly abusing Jones.

The allegations turned out to be false, and the court dismissed the case brought against Worthy. Jones then applied for a protective order against him, and the court this time allowed it.

Currently, the two are living separately. After the entire debacle, Worthy shaved his head, not before posting evidence of physical abuse from Jones.

No one knows what will happen in the future, but it’s better for Worthy to focus on his training and be ready for year two at Arrowhead. His Combine-shattering speed might come in handy for Patrick Mahomes, just like it did in the Super Bowl.
