MMA and BKFC star ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry was furious after his arrest for drink-driving. The fighter even subjected arresting officers to homophobic slurs…en route to the back of a cop car! While out on a low enough bond, this provides new insight into the DUI matter.

According to Lake County Sheriff’s Office online records, Perry faced arrest on October 12 at 1:04 A.M. Body cam footage of the 33-year-old’s traffic stop on Saturday morning in Florida comes courtesy of TMZ Sports. Officers from Clermont Police Department in Clermont, FL., are visible dangling their searchlights and asking him to step out.

When the officer told Perry that he was ‘speaking slowly’, ‘Platinum’ replied that the officer was ‘speaking quickly’. When asked to step out of the car, the footage showed Perry refusing to take field sobriety tests. He had quite the profane tank to go along with it.

Claremont cops say they were on routine patrol when they observed a dark red Mercedes SUV traveling up to “approximately” 20 miles over limit. When the police talked to his wife Latory, she tried to play the he’s “a pro fighter” card again. After all, BKFC’s reigning “King of Violence” is on a neat 5-0 streak under the banner. She showed no signs of acute intoxication and thus drove Mike Perry’s Mercedes SUV back home.

Perry was held in custody for several hours before being charged with a crime. At 9:41 A.M. — more than eight and a half hours after his initial arrest. Perry (14-8) was eventually charged with DUI and refusing to sign a summons to appear in court – both misdemeanors. He was jailed and released a few hours later after posting $1,500 bail. He is due in court at month’s end.

Conor McGregor gives update on Mike Perry’s future at BKFC

Mike Perry had a moderate stint in UFC before transitioning to bare-knuckle brawls. Although he isn’t a titleholder, the fighter received immense success. Perry is practically BKFC brand face right now. However, he also made a quick foray into crossover boxing recently; it did not go all too well.

Perry lost his eight-round cruiserweight battle for DAZN pay-per-view with a sixth-round TKO. After a bell-to-bell starching until his eventual stoppage loss to Jake Paul, Conor McGregor “fired” him from BKFC. While his future is still up in the air, McGregor gave an update on what Perry can look forward to.

Mike is fired but we’re in negotiations, …[David] ‘Redneck’ Mundell called him out. He’s been afraid of Mundell…He can come back, we can talk. We can go back to the table. But I have a great matchup for Perry also. Discussions have to be had and that’s for Riyadh season.

The Florida Athletic Commission (FAC) released a statement before. Perry received a 60-day clinical suspension; one from which he has recovered. According to the Irishman, the promotion is in negotiations with the ‘King of Violence’ titleholder, with a number of opponents. Should the barrage of his driving and DUI citation refusal arrest go away, he’ll be ready to return soon.
