It’s totally different in the playoffs. The intensity is higher, the attention to detail is different. The physicality is different… It’s not the same.
Giannis Antetokounmpo said
The Finals MVP knows what he’s saying. Antetokounmpo has averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game this season, matching his points per game from the previous campaign. In terms of overall effectiveness, he still ranks in the top tier of the NBA and has earned two MVP honors during his career. Going into the playoffs, Antetokounmpo and Co. will be an obvious threat to any team that comes up against them.
Cade Cunningham and the Pistons are set to face the Knicks in first round of the NBA Playoffs
Everything was going well for the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference until Friday when they faced No.1 seed Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks lost to them, setting up a first-round playoff tie against the gritty Detriot Pistons in the process, something the Knicks would have wanted to avoid. The Pistons have their star in Cade Cunningham, who has been a menace in attack for them this season.
The Pistons have won 44 games this season under first-year coach JB Bickerstaff, after winning just 14 games under former Knick Monty Williams last season. They are the NBA’s feel-good tale.
More significantly, Detroit defeated the Knicks 3 of 4 this season (50-31) including Thursday’s 115-106 victory, in which Cunningham scorched the Knicks for 36 points and 8 assists. This series will start at Madison Square Garden on April 19 or 20. Hence, this tie will be one to watch among the NBA fans around the world.
